With the beginning of the new fiscal year here, it is time once again for IPMA chapters to begin the officer selection process. This is also good time to determine your meeting dates and times for the upcoming renewal year. Please keep in mind that IPMA has online webinars available for chapter’s use. To help keep IPMA’s website and headquarters current with each chapters activities we have set new chapter meeting guidelines. Please review the guidelines and put them into place immediately.
Attention: Non-Active IPMA Chapters
If your chapter does not have any activity during the year or has been inactive for sometime the chapter funds must be returned to headquarters.
As in any group, IPMA chapter vitality depends on the involvement and excitement of the entire chapter membership. Chapter officers often work as catalysts for the group, so it is important that they bring a certain amount of commitment, enthusiasm, foresight and skill to their positions. Please remember that officers need not do all the work of the chapter. Their responsibility is to ensure the work gets done and to oversee chapter operations. The most successful chapters benefit from a widely distributed leadership that involves and values every member.
